Situation

The fishing retail environment is generally cluttered with product and displays making it difficult to shop. Fishing Reels in particular are mostly presented in glass cabinets with little or no product information. Shoppers rely on the availability of the retailer to unlock the cabinets in order to touch and feel the reels and then rely on the advice of the retailer for product information and recommendation.

Our Solution

The Shimano Shop has introduced a series of innovative (and patent pending) injection moldings which encourage interaction with Reels, Rods and Nets.

Reels are brought out from the depths of locked cabinets and presented to the customer via the security display system. The Reel security system enables shoppers to interact with reels, encouraging trial and feel so vital to the sale. In addition the reel holder presents concise, yet highly informative product information.
